2025 Recap

This year, my second novel, The Curious Case of the Midnight Specter, hit shelves. It has been so wonderful to see how much people have enjoyed my Victorian Murder Mystery with ghosts.

A Year Filled With Events

April:

Career Fair at a local middle school.

• I didn’t even go to this event with the intention of selling books, but I did! Almost all the ones I brought with me!

Spoke at a library!

• This was so fun as I got to speak to students about my books!

June:

I had my first event at a local Barnes and Noble and it was a huge success. As in…I sold out!

September:

Book Launch!

• I had my book launch/signing for The Curious Case of the Midnight Specter at Fulfillity Books in Hope Mills, NC! I had a great turnout.

YA by the Bay

• Read my recap of the event here! RL Stine complimented my book cover!

October:

I had three events in October, and it about did me in.

• Barnes and Noble signing on October 4

• NCSLMA Author Alley

• Ole Mill Day in Hope Mills, NC

November:

I attended the first Indie Author Event at my local library! It wasn’t a huge turnout, but it was great getting to connect with other local authors.

December:

My final event of the year! And it was frigid! I did this event last year and almost froze, and this year was no different. But I did sell books! So that’s the most important part!

Writing Update

My goal was to finish the first draft of the second book in my mystery series by the end of the month, but I don’t think that will happen. I just reached 54k, which I’m really proud of. I’m making it, even if it’s slower than I would have liked. The end is in sight! I can do this!

I have some fun things coming soon in the writing world. I’m always working on something, and I can’t wait to share about it all.

My Next Story

The next thing hitting shelves is my Snow White-Inspired novella, The Bear Princess! I had this idea in January 2023. The story that came from it is very different, but the essence is the same. Here’s the mood board for it!

The collection title was just announced, and it’s Apples and Arrows! It will be available January 23, 2026!
